The York Water Company is seeking a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to join our leadership team and play a key role in shaping the financial health and future of our company. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance leader to oversee financial operations, strengthen compliance, and provide executive leadership with actionable insightsall while supporting a company with more than 200 years of service to our community.

What Youll Do: As Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, you will: Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, partnering with department leaders to deliver accurate financial plans. Prepare and present dashboards, reports, and analyses that provide leadership with data-driven insights. Oversee financial policies, procedures, and internal controls in compliance with GAAP, SEC, and PUC standards. Manage cash flow, debt, and capital project accounting to support operational and strategic initiatives. Optimize ERP systems, financial tools, and workflows for improved efficiency and accuracy. Support regulatory studies, rate case filings, and capital investment projects. Serve as a trusted advisor to the CFO, providing recommendations to drive financial performance. Build strong relationships across departments to support company-wide goals.
What Were Looking For: Education & Experience Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business from an accredited institution. 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in finance and accounting leadership. Certifications & Licenses Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required. Valid Pennsylvania drivers license required. Skills & Abilities Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls. Proficiency with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or similar), advanced Excel, and financial analysis tools. Excellent communication skills to partner with executives, board members, and external stakeholders. Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills. Experience with utility accounting and regulatory reporting a plus.
