Senior Financial Manager

Who You Are: We are seeking a hands-on and strategic Senior Financial Manager to lead the financial operations of our growing consulting and software company in the telecommunications sector, based in Northern Virginia. This position plays a key role in financial oversight, planning, and operational decision-making. In addition to supporting internal financial operations, this role will manage financial relationships with offshore vendors and partners, ensuring efficient global operations and compliance.
Role and Responsibilities: Oversee all day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting Manage cash flow, expense tracking, and financial controls to support business stability Analyze financial performance of consulting projects and software/SaaS revenue streams Analyze business case financials and support review of project-related statements of work (SOWs) to ensure alignment with budget and financial goals Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to leadership along with providing project-based reports and summaries for the executive team to support decision-making Ensure GAAP compliance and timely tax and regulatory filings Develop project costing and pricing models for client proposals Create and maintain dashboards and KPIs to monitor business performance Partner with department heads to guide operational budget planning and execution Manage financial relationships with onshore/offshore vendors, including contract compliance, invoice reconciliation, payments, and cost analysis Collaborate with legal and operations teams on international payment structures and risk mitigation Implement improvements in financial systems, workflows, and reporting processes Collaborate with cross-functional teams and coordinate with offshore resources
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA or MBA preferred) 5+ years of financial leadership experience, ideally in a consulting, software, or telecom environment Experience with project-based accounting and recurring revenue models Strong understanding of vendor management, including international contracts and payments Proficiency with accounting and finance tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel, budgeting platforms) Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills Comfortable working in a small, agile, and cross-functional team environment
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of the telecommunications sector or related industries Familiarity with financial planning for software products Experience managing cross-border vendor payments, currency risks, and compliance issues Exposure to business process outsourcing (BPO) or offshore service models
