Tysons Corner, VA Key Responsibilities: Project Cost Control: Collaborate with project managers to create
accurate budgets
and manpower forecasts for multi-year programs. Perform weekly budget-to-actual analysis to identify variances, eliminate root causes, and ensure efficiency. Develop and maintain
cash flow forecasts
to ensure projects remain cash-positive and adjust as necessary. Ensure accurate and timely submission of
complex monthly billings
for various contract types. Conduct contract reconciliations and track change orders to maintain accurate project values. Deliver ad-hoc financial reporting for project managers and executives. Lead monthly
Key Project Reviews (KPR)
to monitor project performance and financial accuracy. Assist project management teams with preparation and review of monthly financial forms. Monitor and explain all identified fades/gains and ensure appropriate justifications. Project Procurement Planning: Collaborate with project management teams to develop detailed procurement plans post-award while ensuring compliance and logistical needs are incorporated. Oversee procurement execution before 20% job completion and analyze progress monthly. Ensure proper justification for actual-bought-vs.-planned variances before updating procurement strategies. Award Management: Enter and maintain orders in the CMS system promptly. Create work orders in the Infralink system to facilitate the scheduling of service operations teams. Generate and process
monthly billing
for assigned projects, adhering to all contract terms. Resolve billing concerns to ensure timely payment and maintain strong client relationships. Post invoices in customer systems and internal accounting platforms as applicable. Prepare monthly reports and participate in regional team meetings to review financial and operational metrics. Verify contract compliance and customer reporting accuracy related to billing. Qualifications: Bachelors Degree
in Accounting or Finance. 7+ years of relevant experience , preferably in the construction industry or similar sectors. Proficiency in
Microsoft Excel
and demonstrated ability to work with financial systems. Strong player in a
team-oriented, collaborative environment , able to interact effectively across departments. A
self-starter
with excellent problem-solving skills and dedication to working independently. Exceptional
