This is a newly created leadership role designed for an experienced actuarial leader ready to make a significant impact. You'll oversee pricing for a multi-billion-dollar group insurance portfolio, drive modernization initiatives, and influence decisions at the highest levels.
Responsibilities: Lead the Group Benefits Pricing team, mentoring actuaries and analysts while fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. Oversee pricing for a broad range of products (Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, and Supplemental Health), ensuring competitive positioning and profitability. Modernize pricing methodologies by advancing rating platforms and embedding predictive analytics. Partner with senior leaders across Finance and business units to align pricing with corporate objectives and market dynamics. Manage pricing for both group benefits and retail/direct-to-consumer offerings, supporting growth in emerging channels. Drive provider network analysis and fee schedule optimization for dental products. Maintain and refine economic models to forecast performance and support strategic decisions. Contribute to new product development and distribution partnerships with pricing strategies that enable growth. Enhance governance and compliance within pricing processes, including rate filings and regulatory adherence. Deliver actionable insights through experience reporting and trend analysis.
Qualifications: 10-15 years of actuarial experience, with deep expertise in group benefits pricing. ASA or FSA designation Proven leadership experience and ability to influence senior stakeholders. Strong communication skills and business acumen. Advanced analytical capabilities and strategic thinking.
