Carolina Foods is a leading manufacturer of sweet baked goods, producing branded, private label, and co-manufactured products. The Senior Manager of Senior Manager, Pricing & Mix Management is responsible for driving profitable growth through pricing strategy, product and customer mix optimization, and cost analysis and optimization.
Position Summary The Pricing & Mix Management Senior Manager develops and executes pricing, revenue optimization, and costing strategies that support Carolina Foods long-term business objectives. This role partners with Finance, Sales, and Operations to ensure decisions are analytically sound, operationally feasible, and aligned with business priorities. This critical role reports directly to the CFO and serves as a key strategic partner to the leadership team.
Key Responsibilities Analyze product, SKU, and customer mix to identify margin expansion opportunities. Use data analytics to identify market trends, cost input changes, competitive dynamics, and cost impacts. Recommend portfolio adjustments including SKU rationalization and new product introduction. Develop pricing strategies across branded, private label, and co-manufacturing channels. Lead recurring business reviews tracking revenue, margin, and pricing performance. Collaborate with Operations to align mix, pricing, and capacity/CAPEX considerations. Maintain demand and capacity model. Calculates and analyzes monthly variances to budget and prior year. Reviews and facilitates updates to the companys cost standards for raw materials, packaging and finished goods. Ad hoc financial analysis. Continuously improve / streamline / automate work processes, reports, and analyses. Develop trade promotion strategies as required. Facilitate customer pricing negotiations and long-term price-pack architecture strategy. Partner with Sales on key account strategies, selling narratives, and pricing proposals.
Qualifications Bachelors degree required. 5 years of experience in data-driven, analysis heavy roles; experience in manufacturing and/or consumer products is a plus. Strong analytical and financial modeling skills. Ability to extract and analyze data within an ERP system. Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles. Results-driven with a track record of delivering measurable improvements. Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functionally.
