Financial Controller (Pleasanton)

**Location:** Pleasanton, CA
**Reports To:** CFO / CEO
**Position Overview:** Controller will play a critical role in managing the companys accounting operations and financial reporting. This position requires a strategic thinker with a solid understanding of global accounting practices and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial planning, analysis, compliance, and reporting across multiple countries.
**Key Responsibilities:** - Oversee all accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and cost accounting. - Manage financial reporting and ensure timely and accurate delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. - Manage outside experts to ensure compliance with global tax regulations and filings, including VAT, GST, and other relevant taxes. - Develop and maintain internal control policies, procedures, and documentation to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity. - Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior management to optimize profitability and growth. - Monitor and manage cash flow, including foreign currency transactions, ensuring the company meets its financial obligations. - Assist with M&A activities, due diligence, and integration of acquired entities. - Collaborate with the finance and accounting teams across multiple regions to align on financial strategies and operations.
Qualifications:** - Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred. - 7+ years of experience in accounting or financial management, with at least 3 years in a controller or similar role. - Strong knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS) and local GAAP across key markets. - Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills. - Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. - Experience in managing cross-border financial operations and foreign exchange transactions.
