Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute test cases for 5G and LTE protocols, including layer 2/3 testing (e.g., MAC, RLC, PDCP, RRC).
Perform end-to-end protocol validation, interoperability testing (IOT), and conformance testing using tools like protocol analyzers and simulators.
Conduct QA processes to identify defects in network protocols, ensuring compliance with 3GPP standards for 5G NR and LTE.
Test mobile applications for functionality, performance, and compatibility on 5G/LTE networks, including API testing and user interface validation.
Collaborate with development teams to reproduce issues, analyze logs, and provide feedback for bug fixes.
Automate test scripts using languages like Python or tools such as Robot Framework to improve testing efficiency.
Participate in regression testing, stress testing, and field trials to simulate real-world scenarios.
Document test results, create reports, and maintain test environments.
Stay updated on emerging telecom standards and contribute to continuous improvement of testing methodologies.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in protocol testing, preferably in 5G, LTE, or wireless communications.
Hands-on experience with QA methodologies, including manual and automated testing.
Proficiency in testing tools such as Wireshark, QXDM, TEMS, or similar for protocol analysis.
Basic knowledge of application testing frameworks (e.g., Appium, Selenium) for mobile apps.
Understanding of 3GPP specifications for 5G and LTE protocols.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work in a team environment and communicate technical issues effectively.
Preferred Skills
Experience with CI/CD pipelines for test automation (e.g., Jenkins).
Familiarity with scripting languages like Python, Perl, or TCL for test automation.
Knowledge of SDN/NFV concepts or cloud-based testing environments.
Certifications such as ISTQB (for QA) or relevant telecom certifications.
Exposure to agile/scrum methodologies in a fast-paced development setting
