Senior Financial Planning Analyst (Boston)

Role purpose:
The Senior Financial Analyst Corporate will be joining the US FP&A team and will report to the VP Financial Reporting and Treasury. He will play a critical role in analyzing and reporting on the Corporate costs ($35M P&L). He will be in charge of the budget preparation for Corporate costs (holding and operations), and of the cost allocation to the operations. He will also oversee the reporting on claims costs in our US Transit activities, and perform ad-hoc analysis as requested.
Responsibilities will also include supporting the US Transit organization, working closely with the Transit finance team, providing and improving financial reporting and forecasting tools, as well as supervising the reporting of KPIs.
The candidate will also have strong capabilities with AI tools and will be responsible for spreading best practices among finance teams to improve the organization's efficiency.
Knowledge and Experience: At least 3-years experience in a similar position BS degree in Finance Experience in financial planning and budgeting in a complex multisite business Experience in multi-unit organization Experience in claims management (auto liability and workers compensation) Business performance orientated Good knowledge on financial management on the P&L (EBIT) and the cash (working capital, free cash flow, cash forecast) Ability to meet critical deadlines and achieve organizational objectives Strong work experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel Proficiency with ERPs and Reporting Tools; Microsoft Dynamics / Pigment / Anaplan / PowerBI a plus Strong knowledge of AI tools and their usage High level of autonomy High level of analytic, quantitative, and financial modelling skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills Ability to work across different departments Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills a must Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment
Key Accountabilities: Accountable for the Corporate reporting of US Transit and the holding (financial reporting, month-end close, cost control and analysis, forecast and budget) Accountable for the corporate costs allocations to the entities and the contracts and the explanation of the impacts to the managers Drive and oversee month end close process for corporate costs in partnership with Controlling / Accounting Team Spread the use of AI tools in the Finance Team aiming to improve the efficiency of the reportings (time saving and better value added) Prepare of the month-end and Budget presentations for the Region with a strong focus on synthesis and story telling Support claims reporting and analysis based on the claims administrator and the actuary (workers compensation and auto liability) Supervise and improve the cash forecast for the Region and the reporting to the Group Respond to ad-hoc financial analysis, special projects and similar duties Ensure compliance and delegation of authority is applied and respected throughout the US Corporate organization
