Senior Pricing Analyst
Direct Hire | Hybrid (1 day onsite per week)
Compensation:
$120,000$130,000 base + discretionary bonus (based on personal and company performance) Location:
New York, NY Overview: This is a newly created role within a growing pricing team. The Sr. Pricing Analyst will support billing rates, alternative fee arrangements, and financial analysis for legal matters. This position plays a key role in delivering high-quality support to attorneys and clients, becoming a subject-matter expert in pricing strategy and analytics. The ideal candidate thrives in a professional services environment, excels in Excel-based analytics, and is committed to accuracy, customer service, and collaboration. You will report directly to the Pricing Manager and work closely with team members across multiple offices. The team is known for strong tenure, mentorship, and internal growth opportunities. Research historical matters to help attorneys develop budgets for new engagements. Design budgeting templates and monitor active matters, providing regular reporting. Maintain the firms rates, pricing terms, and special fee arrangement databases. Create reports, dashboards, and presentations to highlight pricing trends and insights. Partner with internal departments to ensure accurate data capture and analytics tools. Analyze client performance data to identify pricing opportunities. Conduct ad hoc financial and operational analyses using internal data tools. Complete special projects and pricing-related initiatives as needed. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or a related field. 47 years of experience in pricing, FP&A, or data analysis (legal or professional services experience strongly preferred). Strong understanding of pricing fundamentals. Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data manipulation; exposure to macros a plus). Experience with Tableau and Power BI preferred. Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of integrating detailed work into broader strategy. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to build relationships across teams. Must be able to manage confidential information with professionalism.
