Production Equipment Engineer

Position Summary

The Production Equipment Engineer plays a key role in strengthening our manufacturing capabilities by enhancing equipment performance, designing and improving fixtures, and ensuring our production systems operate with consistency, safety, and precision. Key Responsibilities

· Lead equipment modification and improvement projects that enhance safety, reliability, throughput, and overall manufacturing performance.

· Design, refine, and maintain production fixtures that support consistent, high‑quality manufacturing outcomes.

· Conduct equipment capability studies, modeling, and data‑driven analysis to identify opportunities for optimization and long‑term stability.

· Partner closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to implement upgrades and validate improvements.

· Develop clear, accurate technical documentation including drawings, specifications, test plans, and validation reports.

· Support troubleshooting efforts by applying structured problem‑solving and engineering judgment to resolve equipment issues.

· Evaluate new technologies and methods that align with Capstone’s commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement.

· Uphold Capstone’s safety, quality, and compliance standards in all equipment‑related activities.

Preferred Education & Experience

· Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (MSME) or at least 5 years of relevant engineering experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Proven experience in manufacturing equipment design, modification, or optimization.

· Strong capability in equipment modeling, capability analysis, and data‑driven decision‑making.

· Experience with fixture design, CAD tools, and engineering documentation.

Preferred Skills & Competencies

· Practical, hands‑on approach to engineering with a strong sense of ownership.

· Ability to collaborate effectively across teams in a fast‑paced, production‑focused environment.

· Clear, confident communication skills that support teamwork and problem‑solving. Familiarity with automation, controls, or advanced manufacturing technologies is a plus.
