We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to support our aluminum extrusion operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, improving, and optimizing extrusion and fabrication processes to ensure high productivity, efficiency, and product quality while maintaining safety and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes related to aluminum extrusion, including billet heating, extrusion, cooling, stretch, cut, aging and fabrication operations.
  • Evaluate and improve production methods, equipment, and tooling for efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
  • Develop and implement process control systems, including SPC, to maintain consistent product quality.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to troubleshoot process or equipment issues.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen principles.
  • Conduct time and motion studies to identify bottlenecks and streamline workflows.
  • Participate in new product development and launch activities, including tooling design reviews and process trials.
  • Ensure all operations comply with safety, health, and environmental standards.
  • Prepare technical documentation such as work instructions, SOPs, PFMEAs, and control plans.
  • Analyze production data, generate reports, and present findings and recommendations to management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; experience with aluminum extrusion preferred.
  • Strong understanding of extrusion processes, tooling design, heat treatment, and metallurgical principles.
  • Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Experience in ISO 9001 or AS9100 environments.
  • Knowledge of automation and control systems.

Working Conditions:

  • Office and plant environment with exposure to heat, noise, and industrial equipment.
  • Occasional lifting, standing, and walking throughout the plant
