GBMC HealthCare . Under general supervision, provides direct patient care to assigned patients. Qualifications: Associate Degree from an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred. For nurses hired after 2012, Bachelor’s degree required within 3 years of start date. Current registration with the Maryland State Board of Examiners of Nurses as a Registered Nurse. Completion of "Healthcare Provider" CPR course, bi-annually. One-year Registered Nurse experience required. Skills: Proficiency in developing nursing care plans, implementing effective nursing care, and evaluating outcomes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Effective planning and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities. Strong analytical skills. Proficiency in computer programs. Demonstrates skill in patient experience and service recovery. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Utilizes Nursing Process: assessment, planning, implementation, and coordination of patient care. Performs clinical nursing skills independently, administers medications and treatments, and initiates emergency procedures as needed. Coordinates patient activities with other disciplines and manages daily patient assignments. Develops and implements patient teaching and discharge planning. Participates in clinical monitoring and quality improvement activities. May serve as charge RN or preceptor if competent. All roles must demonstrate GBMC values: Respect:
