Senior Estimator Manager
Our client is a leading Manhattan-based general contractor specializing in high-end commercial interiors. With a reputation for excellence, precision, and reliability, we deliver premium office spaces, corporate headquarters, and tenant build-outs throughout New York City. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Estimator Manager to lead our estimating team and drive successful project outcomes from preconstruction through bid award. Lead and manage the estimating team, including junior and mid-level estimators. Oversee preparation of detailed estimates for commercial interior fit-outs ranging from $1M to $50M+. Review architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents to develop comprehensive cost models. Coordinate and manage the bid process from initial inquiry through bid submission and post-bid clarification. Develop scope of work for subcontractor trades and solicit, level, and analyze subcontractor bids. Work closely with project managers, preconstruction, and executives to ensure seamless handoff after award. Provide value engineering options and identify project risks and opportunities to optimize cost and schedule. Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, architects, and clients. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, local market conditions, and construction costs. Contribute to the strategic direction of the preconstruction department. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Minimum 8-10 years of experience in commercial construction estimating, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior estimating role. Strong background in high-end commercial interior projects in the NYC market is required. Deep understanding of trade scopes, construction sequencing, and NYC DOB/regulatory requirements. Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Procore, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Excel). Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Proven ability to lead teams, meet deadlines, and manage multiple estimates simultaneously. What's on Offer
