Basic Purpose This leader and team (NBMs) are responsible for pursuing high-potential sales leads for conversion to US Foods customers, providing strategic support to sellers, and managing all aspects of driving new local sales to meet or exceed company goals.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Assist New Business Managers in developing business plans to capture market share within the division’s footprint, focusing on prospects with sales potential > $0.5m annually.

Responsible for producing new account revenue in line with targets (minimum of $2 million in the first year, $5 million annually thereafter).

Support and develop NBM’s using KPIs, focusing on opening high potential accounts, sales dollars, and gross profit.

Research customer requirements, analyze market trends, and share information with customers, including new menu ideas and products.

Teach business processes and coach NBM’s through onboarding and process efficiencies.

Build relationships with key decision makers and attend industry events for networking.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration preferred.

Sales & Marketing or related field or equivalent experience required.

Minimum of 5 years of foodservice sales experience.

At least 2 years of supervisory experience; previous sales management experience preferred.

Experience opening accounts > $0.5m in foodservice industry.

Proficient in problem solving, negotiation, and financial analysis.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.

Additional Details

Salary range: $85,000 - $140,000, plus annual bonus.

Full-time employment, based in the US, with possible overnight travel.
