What to Expect
Highly skilled Tool and Die Specialists who have experience with performing preventative maintenance and repairs on automotive dies.
The Tool and Die Specialist will support the High Pressure Die Cast Department, maintaining the dies to meet production standards and goals in a timely manner. We are looking for candidates who are shift flexible and available to work overtime, based on business needs.
What You'll Do
Maintain die PM system, including detailed work instructions and manage on schedule completion of PM activities
Troubleshoot casting issues associated with the die troubleshooting procedures
Prepare die preparation check sheets and trial procedures
Maintain die spare parts lists and ensure parts are set up and in stock prior to start of production
Follow die cleaning method and adherence to schedule
Identify and implement proactive systems to achieve consistent improvement in casting quality
Support development of Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) for production dies to identify critical risks and develop appropriate control plans
What You'll Bring
Experience in production of and maintaining dies producing structural aluminum die castings
Hands on experience maintaining, modifying, and repairing dies
Work efficiently and productively in independent and team settings
Communicate clearly using written and verbal skills
Strong organization skills with meticulous attention to detail
Fluent with common MS office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal
Physical Demands
Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours a day
Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours/day, including over varied and uneven terrain
Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 35 lbs., including the ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs
Frequently and repetitively, bend, lift and reach to install parts
Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for extended periods of time, including up to 12 hours/day
Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures
Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing
Potential exposure to confined spaces, elevated heat and hazardous materials
Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to: safety glasses, safety shoes, bump caps, arm protection, hearing protection and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines

Expected Compensation $32.00 - $54.76/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
