Overview Quantum Research International, Inc. Mission Quantum is seeking a
Principal Linux Systems Administrator
to support the DoD HPC Modernization Program and the Army Research Laboratory at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD. Remote work two days a week may be permitted for residents over 50 miles from APG.
Responsibilities
Set up administrator and service accounts, maintain documentation, tune system performance, install software, and manage storage.
Develop and monitor policies for resource allocation.
Participate in installation, integration, testing, and maintenance of HPC systems and software.
Assist in forecasting resource limitations and recommend improvements for efficiency.
Requirements
Top Secret Security Clearance
Bachelor’s degree and six years of related experience, or equivalent experience.
DoD 8570 IAT II Certification (Security+) or higher.
Linux+ Certification or equivalent.
Willingness to work after hours or respond to emergencies.
Experience with SLURM, PBS, or Torque schedulers.
Knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and systems administration.
Ability to document procedures and ensure IA compliance.
Experience with multi-factor authentication, LDAP, Kerberos, and security standards.
Scripting skills (Bash, Python, etc.).
Desired Skills
Zabbix or similar monitoring tools.
Storage architectures (SAN, SAS, FC, SATA).
Experience with Red Hat Satellite, Identity Manager, BIND DNS, Puppet, or Ansible.
