Job Description Summary:

The Staff Accountant is responsible for US general ledger accounting, including compliance reporting month-end close, sales order and inventory, account receivables, account payables, and audit/review processes.

Job Responsibilities: •Responsible for sales order management (quote, invoice, recording and follow up). •Record and reconcile all incoming financial transactions received •Resolve outstanding payments and sending collection statements •Update account information and records of clients •Responsible for intercompany transactions, Inventory, and accrual management. •Responsible for US General Ledger, including but not limited to Cash, AR, AP, and Accrued liabilities. •Prepare filings of all state sales & use tax returns. •Inspect account books for efficiency and accuracy. •Month-end close process, including preparation and review of journal entries and account reconciliations, to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. •Assist with internal control documentation, testing, and remediation. •Interface with cross functional teams to research and resolve discrepancies. •Assist with financial and tax audits. •Interface with international accounting to resolve accounting matters. •Special projects in systems, accounting, and finance.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: •A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. •Minimum 3 years' work experience in Accounting/Finance. Preferably medical technology or manufacturing. •Experience with international currency transactions. •Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and mid-tier ERP systems.

Skills and Abilities Required for This Job: •Knowledge and hands on experience with US GAAP. •Must be able to effectively articulate issues to technical and non-technical personnel. •Excellent communication skills - written and verbal. •Must be able to work effectively and collaborate within cross functional teams. •Must be able to present information, in a clear and concise manner, to management. •Must take initiative, be resourceful and have the ability to conduct hands-on work to resolve issues. •Must possess the ability to handle multiple tasks with high attention to detail.
