Position Summary

The Program Coordinator provides support for community-based programs with a focus on grants, contracts, and population health programs in rural parts of the state. Programs currently focus on opioid reduction efforts, strengthening the nursing workforce, and behavioral health support in rural parts of the State. The position is grant-funded. Assignments may shift to other projects and are dependent on current grants and contracts. The position's primary work location is Cedar City, with some grant-related travel expected. Additional travel for local and national conferences and events is also possible. Essential Functions

Assists with the coordination of existing programs related to rural health. Develops program plans and related budgets. Assist in planning long and short-range program objectives and activities. Assists with contracts and agreements to meet program objectives. Assist with data collection and program assessment, including tracking and analysis methods used to measure outcomes and outputs of programs. Managing relationships between grant and community partners to facilitate partnerships on grant activities and ensure thorough reporting of activities. Assist in overseeing management, budget, and reports as related to increasing the health care workforce. Coordinate project and grant activities. Aid in developing/coordinating the distribution of educational materials, marketing content, and other outreach efforts related to the grant projects. Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree. Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, including presentations and public relations. Technology skills, including computer applications and presentation programs. Experience working with rural health issues or related experience. Strong work ethic, including demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently.

Preferred Qualifications Master's degree. Experience working with substance use and/or suicide prevention Background in community education and/or healthcare.
