Location (city, state): Washington, DC (Onsite) Industry: Professional Services Pay: $22-25/hour Type: Contract Hours: 40 hours per week Background Check: Required About Our Client: Our client a dynamic and fast-paced office environment is seeking a versatile Office Assistant to help manage day-to-day operations and maintain a welcoming, professional atmosphere. Job Description: The Office Assistant will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and facilities support. This includes greeting visitors, managing office supplies and inventory, overseeing facility maintenance, coordinating security access, and assisting with event planning and vendor management. The role requires a customer-focused individual who can juggle multiple responsibilities while fostering a collaborative team environment. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the main point of contact for office facility needs, visitor coordination, and maintenance requests. Manage office security, including issuing and auditing access badges/fobs. Oversee kitchen and office supply inventory, ensuring adequate stock and organization. Provide general administrative support, including mail processing, invoice management, and conference room scheduling. Assist with event coordination, such as office celebrations and meetings, including catering and setup/cleanup. Support IT needs by managing inventory of equipment and troubleshooting minor issues. Act as a liaison for new hires, ensuring smooth onboarding, workspace setup, and orientation. Qualifications: 2-4 years of experience in an administrative or customer service support role. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable with various technology platforms. Bilingual in Spanish is required for effective communication with staff. Strong interpersonal skills, professional demeanor, and the ability to interact with diverse personalities. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable to shifting priorities.
