is seeking a Part‑Time (2 days/week) Mobile Optometrist to join our practice in Ohio.
Overview
We provide mobile optometry services to residents of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and long‑term care facilities in the Cleveland/Akron, OH area. This is a part‑time position with flexible scheduling; part‑time providers receive a $6,000 sign‑on bonus. Normal part‑time providers also earn $70k+ per year plus uncapped earning potential.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive eye exams, diagnose, treat, and manage age‑related ocular diseases, injuries, and disorders of the eye.
Perform vision testing and prescribe spectacle lenses.
Complete required patient and clinical documentation in our optometry electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Apply proper coding guidelines and populate accurate billing codes.
Adhere to OSHA guidelines for patient care, disposal of materials, and sterilization of equipment.
Qualifications
O.D. with a current state professional license.
Valid driver’s license and ability to drive significant distances.
Proficiency in assessment, treatment, management, and evaluation of eye conditions and disorders.
Ability to work independently on a daily basis.
Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Experience using EMR, text, email, internet, and other healthcare software.
Self‑starter attitude with a desire to deliver quality, thoughtful, and attentive care.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, bend, and lift (maximum 15 lbs.).
May occasionally transport patients in wheelchairs.
Travel
This is a mobile position. Daily travel is based on patient care requirements for the service area. A valid driver’s license and the ability to drive significant distances on occasion is required.
