Key Responsibilities This position is responsible for:
Plans, develops, manages, and directs the daily operations of The Salvation Army Red Shield Youth Center in accordance with its vision and mission.
Areas of responsibility include overall management, Center-wide safety, planning, vision, and leadership for all aspects of the Center, including programs and services, finance/budget management & reporting, resource development, human resources management, center member services, communication, and advisory organization engagement.
Positively impact the lives of youth through activities and services that measurably and progressively move them individually to attain positive outcomes
Under the direction and assignment of the Corps Officer, the Executive Director assumes a leadership role within the community, partnering with businesses, foundations, government officials, other nonprofits, and supporters
Participates in the Salvation Army’s ministry advancement by collaborating with the Salvation Army Officers to ensure Red Shield Youth Centers provide an engaging, enriching and empowering environment where youth develop Christ-like character, preparing them to become tomorrow’s leaders
Required to transport youth center members and staff to/from center and approved activities and events.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Must be able to remain in stationary position frequently.
Occasionally move about the office to access filing cabinets, office machinery, attend meetings and the like.
Frequently move about the community to complete job duties.
Frequently operate a computer and other office equipment such as a copy machine, printer, and the like.
Frequently communicates with staff, partners, community, and the like to conduct regular business operations.
Daily operation and use of software and computer applications required for business functions.
Occasional to frequent operation of a motor vehicle and operation of company vehicle relevant to carrying out job duties required for the position.
Frequently spend time in intense concentration reviewing and entering information into computer.
Ability to communicate with individuals utilizing a telephone, computer, or other electronic device.
Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of spoken words, communicating orally with others accurately and clearly.
Ability to drive an approved vehicle to transport youth center staff and members in a safe manner obeying all driving requirements and standards.
Position requires travel within the community and to participate in off-site Center events. May require travel outside of the geographic area of Center location.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience with successful and impressive track record of operational leadership of multifunctional and decentralized teams and sustaining business/nonprofit/programs with a budget up to $500,000.00.
Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Licenses and Certifications
Valid Driver’s License
CDL or willing to obtain within the first 90 days of employment
CPR and First Aid certification
