Regional Director – Service and Maintenance
This position provides day‑to‑day leadership and management within the company, aligning internal and external operations with KDC’s strategic vision, culture, mission, goals, and policies. The Regional Director of Service and Maintenance communicates and enforces policies, procedures, and operations defined by the VP of Service & Maintenance and is responsible for the overall success of the region.

Management and oversight of Service Managers in assigned regions.
Responsible for managing a designated budget to meet financial expectations.
Ensures that all work requests are completed on schedule and updated in customer systems.
Ensures timely follow‑up and resolution of work exceptions.
Maintains quality service by analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems, identifying trends, recommending system improvements, and enforcing company and customer service standards.
Develop strategic plans with pertinent business, financial, service, and operational information; identify and evaluate trends, define objectives, and evaluate outcomes.
Supports Service Managers in developing, implementing, and managing the annual budget process, tracking budget performance, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and providing performance reports to senior management.
Serves as a responsible leader through the direction and guidance of the team to ensure all safety requirements for all jobs are upheld.
Ensures proper safety rules, regulations, and incident reporting are followed.
Other duties as assigned.
Administration
Responsible for staffing projections (field/administrative).
Reviews and approves expense reports and PTO requests.
Participates in bonus and salary reviews.
Invoice oversight, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
Oversees regional Customer, Field, Employee, and financial KPIs.
Staff Management and Development
Oversees the hiring, job assignment, training, and development of Service and Maintenance staff.
Provides challenges, goals, and vision for the Service and Maintenance region.
Prepares and presents performance reviews for direct reports.
Manages team performance, including appraisals, development and coaching, communicating expectations, disciplinary action, and enforcing all policies, procedures, and standards.
Business Development
Aligns with VP of Service & Maintenance and works with Business Development to develop a profitable business and long‑term revenue.
Monitors market conditions to evaluate revenue opportunities.
Assists in the preparation of marketing materials and proposals.
Participates, as needed, in Business Development calls.
Maintains potential and current client and sub‑relationships.
Additional Activities / Responsibilities / Duties
Provides leadership for conflict resolution to facilitate effectiveness and improved working relationships.
Informs the VP of Service and Maintenance of critical issues that could adversely affect KDC’s financial exposure.
Participates in special projects (e.g., operations manual, rollout of new technology platforms).
Develops strategies for the management of new work orders and clients.
Travel required.
Vehicle and inventory management.
Serves as a responsible leader, ensuring all safety requirements for all jobs are upheld for the protection of co‑workers, subcontractors, the public, and the client.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
10+ years of related management experience or equivalent.
Proven track record of success with measurable achievements in leadership roles.
Experience scheduling, purchasing, estimating, team management, subcontractors, and vendors.
Ability to inspire and motivate others toward a collective goal.
Strong technical knowledge and experience in General Building, Plumbing, Electrical, and HVAC/Refrigeration commercial construction trades.
Ability to interpret architectural plans and specifications.
Ability to interact with a diverse customer roster.
Carefully consider cost/benefits.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrates attention to detail, creative problem‑solving, and analytical skills.
Able to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events and communicate accordingly.
Supports the organization’s goals and values.
Look for ways to improve and promote quality.
Follow all company and customer policies and procedures.
Must have a flexible schedule and work some nights and weekends, as needed.
Proficient with computers and familiar with Microsoft Software Suite.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must possess or obtain an appropriate state driver’s license before employment, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
