From idea to product, Figma empowers teams to streamline workflows, move faster, and work together in real time from anywhere in the world. If you're excited to shape the future of design and collaboration, join us! This is a full‑time role that can be held from one of our U.S. hubs or remotely in the United States.
What you’ll do at Figma:
Serve as Figma’s go‑to ASC 606 expert for SaaS and AI / consumption‑based products, including multi‑element arrangements, contract modifications, variable consideration, and usage‑based commitments
Own and evolve our revenue playbook by authoring, updating, and maintaining revenue recognition policies, playbooks, and accounting memos that support Figma’s diverse contract structures
Partner with Deal Desk, Sales, and Legal to review complex and non‑standard contracts, providing structuring guidance that balances commercial goals with optimal revenue outcomes
Work cross‑functionally with Finance, Legal, Sales, Sales Operations, Business System, Engineering, and key business owners to design scalable revenue accounting processes with a strong focus on automation and continuous improvement
Determine revenue recognition approaches for new products and offerings, including identifying performance obligations, evaluating SSP, and assessing contract modifications
Translate complex technical accounting concepts into practical, easy‑to‑use guidance and recommendations for non‑accounting stakeholders and leadership
Support a timely and accurate month‑end close through the execution and/or review of monthly revenue activities and deliverables (e.g., journal entries, deal review, and reporting)
Contribute to special projects, system enhancements and UAT, and ad hoc analyses as the business scales and evolves
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
CPA certificate and 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including substantial work in technical revenue accounting / ASC 606
Ability to translate complex accounting concepts into clear, usable guidance for non‑accounting partners
Deep expertise in US GAAP and ASC 606 for software and SaaS, including topics such as multi‑element arrangements, SSP, variable consideration, contract modifications, and usage‑based or consumption revenue models
Proven experience owning contract reviews, drafting technical accounting memos, preparing policy documentation, and partnering with external auditors on complex revenue matters
Experience designing and operating SOX‑compliant revenue controls in a public or pre‑IPO environments
While not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:
Prior Big 4 (or equivalent) public accounting experience and in‑house experience at a high‑growth tech or SaaS company
Comfort operating in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment with evolving products and business models
Hands‑on experience with modern ERP and revenue automation tools (e.g., NetSuite/ARM, Zuora Revenue, Workday, or similar), including implementing or improving revenue workflows
