About The Role The Director of Total Rewards will serve as a strategic and hands‑on leader responsible for developing, executing and evolving the company’s global benefits, compensation, HRIS, data and analytics capabilities and programs. Reporting directly to the Global Head of HR, this role will be central to driving both immediate operational excellence and long‑term transformation, ensuring programs are competitive, cost‑effective, compliant and aligned with business goals. The Director will oversee annual benefit renewals, vendor performance and the global compensation cycle, partnering closely with HR leadership and Finance to attract, reward and retain key talent.
What a Great Director of Total Rewards Does
Lead and develop a team of Total Rewards professionals across Comp & Analytics, Benefits, HRIS and HR Operations, fostering collaboration, accountability and growth.
Design and execute a total rewards strategy that delivers base pay, incentives, equity and health & wellness benefits competitive for a high‑growth fintech environment.
Shape and execute initiatives that enhance organizational performance and align with InvestCloud’s broader business objectives.
Act as a “player/coach” – capable of rolling up sleeves to deliver results today while building strategy, infrastructure and a future‑ready workforce.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop the Total Rewards team across Compensation, Benefits, HRIS and Analytics.
Lead strategy, design and management of comprehensive benefits offerings (healthcare, retirement, wellness, leave, etc.) across diverse employee populations.
Oversee all benefit vendors, brokers and carriers, ensuring compliance and cost efficiency; evaluate future needs and recommend provider changes.
Lead annual U.S. benefit renewals, plan design evaluation, cost modelling, vendor/broker negotiations and executive presentations.
Conduct benchmarking and market assessments to maintain competitive and sustainable benefit offerings.
Oversee design, governance, and administration of global compensation structures, including base pay, incentive programs and total compensation philosophy.
Implement scalable job architecture, pay‑for‑performance frameworks and data‑driven benchmarking practices.
Lead the annual compensation cycle (salary and bonus planning), collaborating with finance and stakeholders on modelling, system readiness and ad‑hoc reporting.
Oversee HRIS function, ensuring systems support accurate data management, automation, analytics and process efficiency.
Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement across Total Rewards and HR operations.
Collect, maintain and update HR data related to employee performance, compensation and other metrics; perform compliance audits and validate data integrity.
Develop HR dashboards and reports, presenting insights to HR leadership, senior leadership and other stakeholders.
Conduct in‑depth analysis of HR data to identify patterns and correlations, providing actionable insights to support strategic HR initiatives.
Annual handbook refresh and ensure compliance with federal, state and international laws (ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, DOL).
Provide strategic guidance on US onboarding, compensation and benefits policies and practices.

Requirements
10+ years of progressive experience in Total Rewards, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing both compensation and benefits in a complex, global organization.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced, global environment; experience in a private equity‑backed environment is a plus.
Hands‑on “player/coach” mindset, comfortable executing and providing strategic oversight.
Thorough understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements (ERISA, COBRA, ACA, HIPAA, FMLA, DOL).
Demonstrated experience using HRIS systems (UltiPro preferred) to support compensation, benefits and reporting processes.
Strong analytical, financial and project management skills, with ability to translate data into strategic insights.
Proficient at presenting to executives with executive presence and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Excellent leadership and team‑building skills; proven ability to inspire, develop and retain high‑performing teams.
Exceptional communication and influencing skills, engaging stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Skills / Experience
Prior experience in FinTech or Financial Services industry.
Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS), CCP or related Total Rewards certification.
Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, HRIS, BI tools).
