Senior Associate or Legal Director seeking partnership to join our Succession & Tax team based in our Bath office, supervising a busy, dedicated team while contributing to business development across the Bath region to drive our growth strategy.
About The Role Day‑to‑day you will have a varied caseload, including:
Providing tax and estate planning advice to a broad range of clients, including high net worth and ultra‑high net worth clients
Working closely with clients such as farmers and business owners on succession planning
Managing complex probate and estate administration matters
Advising on creation, restructuring and winding up of trusts
Providing advice on Enduring and Lasting Powers of Attorney, as well as Court of Protection matters
This exciting progression opportunity will be based in Bath, with opportunities to work closely with Partners and fee earners at our other offices.
About You We’re proud of the relationships we’ve built with our clients and referrers, and we need someone with the right blend of skills to service their needs and develop new relationships. You will be a qualified Solicitor or CILEX with higher rights, bringing significant relevant experience including:
Tax and estate planning expertise, advising a broad range of clients, including high net worth and ultra‑high net worth clients
Managing complex probate and estate administration matters
Advising on creation, restructuring and winding up of trusts
Advising on Enduring and Lasting Powers of Attorney, as well as Court of Protection matters
Advising farmers and business owners on succession planning (highly desirable)
Leadership skills with the ability to supervise and nurture junior staff
Strong business development skills and ability to generate referrals
Exemplary client service skills
Ability to work alongside other teams in a holistic approach to meet client needs
Good communication skills and ability to support and supervise junior staff
STEP membership or working towards it
