A mission-driven nonprofit organization is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee core accounting operations and support accurate financial reporting. This role partners closely with the CFO, manages accounting staff, and ensures strong financial controls in a collaborative, results-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
Oversee core accounting functions, including AP, AR, payroll, and financial reporting Manage two accountants and collaborate with internal teams on grant reporting and vouchering Lead monthly close activities, including reconciliations and analysis Support the annual audit and preparation of IRS Form 990 Assist the CFO with accounting operations and process improvements Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field Minimum of five years of professional accounting experience; nonprofit experience preferred Experience with QuickBooks Online and government grant portals Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities Demonstrated professionalism and commitment to confidentiality Work Arrangement: Hybrid position with one remote day per week Compensation
$80,000 – $85,000 annually
