Job Summary We are looking for a Finance Specialist to take ownership of day-to-day accounting and financial operations for a small but growing organization. This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable being the go-to person for AP, AR, bookkeeping, and financial reporting. Youll manage the core accounting functions, maintain accurate financial records, and support leadership with timely financial information.
Key Responsibilities: Accounting & Daily Finance Operations Handle full-cycle AP and AR, including invoice processing, collections, and vendor management Maintain general ledger entries and account reconciliations Process payroll or coordinate with payroll provider as needed Manage month-end and year-end close activities Financial Reporting Prepare internal financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow summaries Assist with budgeting and expense tracking Monitor financial accuracy and ensure organized documentation Compliance & Controls Ensure compliance with company policies and basic accounting standards Maintain internal controls and support audits or year-end review with external accountants Organize financial records and support tax-related documentation Cross-Functional Support Partner with leadership on financial questions and spending visibility Support vendors, employees, and internal teams with finance-related inquiries Help implement or streamline accounting processes and systems
Requirements: Education & Experience Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant work experience 25 years of hands-on accounting experience (AP/AR, bookkeeping, or general accounting) Experience in a small business or solo accounting environment preferred Skills & Attributes Strong understanding of basic accounting principles Comfortable owning accounting responsibilities independently Highly organized with strong attention to detail Proficient with accounting software (QuickBooks) Strong communication and problem-solving skills
