Warehouse Manager – Dallas
Himmel’s Architectural Door and Hardware seeks a Warehouse Manager to oversee the day-to‑day operations of the Dallas warehouse and weld shop, ensuring safety, inventory accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Basic Responsibilities
Manage a warehouse team including Material Handlers, Welders, and Drivers.
Lead all warehouse operations in accordance with Himmel’s standards:
Oversee receiving and shipping processes.
Coordinate and manage deliveries and drivers.
Manage and schedule work orders for welding and door fabrication teams.
Maintain accurate inventory counts.
Customer pick‑up process.
Maintain documentation and accurate records of warehouse activities:
Shop production (Billable hours vs. Payroll hours).
Staffing and training needs.
Inventory management.
Follow safety goals and guidelines, conduct frequent audits, and update safety reports.
Prepare and maintain reports related to warehouse activities, personnel, and equipment.
Support Inventory Manager to ensure inventory control, adjustments, and cycle counts for accuracy and forecasting.
Possess basic computer skills using typical office programs.
Assist with organization and storage plans for shop consumables, tools, and inventory.
Train staff in safe equipment use to preserve safety and product value.
Maintain awareness of fleet vehicles’ condition and location.
Provide direct performance feedback, maintain morale, and model appropriate behavior.
Must know how to operate a forklift.
Mid‑Senior level, Full‑time position.
