Warehouse Manager – Dallas

Himmel’s Architectural Door and Hardware seeks a Warehouse Manager to oversee the day-to‑day operations of the Dallas warehouse and weld shop, ensuring safety, inventory accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Basic Responsibilities

• Manage a warehouse team including Material Handlers, Welders, and Drivers.
• Lead all warehouse operations in accordance with Himmel’s standards:
  • Oversee receiving and shipping processes.
  • Coordinate and manage deliveries and drivers.
  • Manage and schedule work orders for welding and door fabrication teams.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts.
  • Customer pick‑up process.
• Maintain documentation and accurate records of warehouse activities:
  • Shop production (Billable hours vs. Payroll hours).
  • Staffing and training needs.
  • Inventory management.
• Follow safety goals and guidelines, conduct frequent audits, and update safety reports.
• Prepare and maintain reports related to warehouse activities, personnel, and equipment.
• Support Inventory Manager to ensure inventory control, adjustments, and cycle counts for accuracy and forecasting.
• Possess basic computer skills using typical office programs.
• Assist with organization and storage plans for shop consumables, tools, and inventory.
• Train staff in safe equipment use to preserve safety and product value.
• Maintain awareness of fleet vehicles’ condition and location.
• Provide direct performance feedback, maintain morale, and model appropriate behavior.
• Must know how to operate a forklift.
