Base pay range: $225,000.00/yr - $275,000.00/yr

Position Overview Reporting to the CEO, the CFO is the strategic finance partner to operations and sales. You’ll drive planning, performance management, cash and capital strategy, pricing/margin initiatives, and data transparency turning metrics into actions that improve growth, profitability, and working capital. You’ll also oversee core finance operations (accounting, treasury, risk) through a capable team and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

Own the plan: Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasting; establish a tight operating rhythm with monthly performance reviews and course‑correct actions.

Performance & KPIs: Build a one‑page KPI suite (growth, margin mix, labor utilization, project/job economics, churn/retention) and use it to help operators understand the business better.

Cash & capital: Improve cash conversion through disciplined billing/collections, vendor terms, project/job visibility, and inventory/purchasing levers; manage banking relationships and capital allocation.

Profitability & pricing: Partner with commercial/ops leaders to refine pricing, contracts, and service mix; expand margins without compromising retention or service quality.

Systems & data: Simplify processes, integrate finance with field/operational systems, and stand up practical dashboards/BI that eliminate manual reporting.

Team leadership: Recruit, develop, and align a high‑performing finance team (Accounting, AP/AR, FP&A) with clear roles and development paths.

Governance: Ensure timely, reliable financial reporting through your team and outside advisors; maintain sensible controls and risk/insurance programs without adding bureaucracy.

Strategic projects: Support CEO on growth initiatives (new services, capex, partnerships/M&A) with modeling, diligence, and integration planning.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, or related field; advanced degree or MBA a plus.

8–15+ years in finance leadership (CFO, VP Finance, or equivalent) within services or project/job‑cost environments.

Proven record driving planning cadence, KPI adoption, pricing/margin expansion, and cash improvement.

Comfortable building dashboards/BI and improving processes/systems; strong Excel/analytics orientation.

Inspires teams; credible partner to operators, sales, lenders, and owners; communicates clearly and decisively.

Familiarity with accounting and external audit/tax oversight through your team and advisors.
