Role Summary Our team develops a suite of custom software tools to support our test and development, manufacturing, and service teams during the vehicle development lifecycle. Come join our mission to support production ramp, improve manufacturing quality, and provide insights to our internal partners with API services and user interfaces. You will have the opportunity to join a growing team driving software architecture, design, and implementation for a ground‑up diagnostics tool enabling the next generation of vehicle designs through data‑driven decision making and lessons learned. Responsibilities
Participate in next generation vehicle tool development from prototype to end of life.
Develop reactive user interfaces for several personas.
Build and optimize highly reliable, scalable, and distributed micro‑services.
Use automation as an opportunity to reduce roadblocks and achieve deliverables.
Build and iterate on design mocks and wireframes, ensuring user‑friendly and visually appealing interfaces.
Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for performance and scale.
Implement best practices for front‑end development, including code reviews, testing, and performance optimization.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field.
Experience with front‑end development and TypeScript / JavaScript frameworks (React.js/Redux).
3+ years of professional experience in front‑end development, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work on complex web applications.
Proficiency in React, Redux, and related technologies.
In‑depth understanding of the presentation layer, including CSS pre‑processors (Sass, LESS), CSS‑in‑JS (Styled Components, Emotion), and design systems.
Ability to work closely with designers and understand the principles of responsive design, accessibility (WCAG standards), and user‑centered design.
Experience with front‑end performance optimization techniques, such as lazy loading, code splitting, and minimizing render times.
Strong experience with front‑end testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library) and debugging tools (Chrome DevTools).
Proficient in using Git and Git workflows.
Experience with REST and GraphQL APIs.
Experience with asynchronous code.
Systematic troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis experience.
Knowledge of Agile Development of Accessible Software Tools.
Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
Experience with Event/Data streaming (NATs).
Experience with Amazon Web Services.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
Experience with authentication and identity management.
Experience with bus standards such as CAN; DoIP; FlexRay; LIN.
Knowledge of UDS ISO‑14229 / ISO‑15765 / SAE J1979 / J2534/FuSA; ISO‑2626.
Exposure to manufacturing processes.
Professional experience with PLCs.
Pay Disclosure Salary Range for Palo Alto, California Based Applicants: $146,900 - $183,600 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
Salary Range for Irvine, California Based Applicants: $135,000 - $168,900 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
Salary Range for Normal, Illinois Based Applicants: $123,400 - $154,200 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
