Position Overview
RMGS, Inc. is currently recruiting an Engineer in Coronado, California, or Virginia Beach, Virginia. This position is contingent upon contract award. Roles and Responsibilities
Identify project requirements and develop design criteria Produce detailed designs, specifications, cost estimates, and instructions Provide expert consulting for facility planning, design, and construction Advise on planning, budgeting, scheduling, and technical matters Oversee and track design and construction project execution Conduct or coordinate site investigations to assess project feasibility Review designs, cost estimates, and technical documents to support timely project execution Ensure architectural and engineering plans meet all requirements Analyze costs and develop plans to address deficiencies Manage contracts for maintenance, repair, renovation, and new construction Participate in planning studies and review related documentation Represent the organization in engineering meetings with external agencies Develop and implement program plans to meet design, budget, and schedule timelines Monitor project status and recommend design/construction awards and funding actions Coordinate with construction agents on bids and funding adjustments Resolve construction issues by developing alternatives and coordinating technical solutions Required Qualifications and Experience
Possess a bachelor's degree in engineering or architecture Advanced degree and/or professional certification (Professional Engineer or Registered Architect) is highly desirable At least 8 years' experience in engineering or architecture field At least 8 years' experience executing and delivering technical facility design and construction projects At least 4 years' experience in a military environment At least 4 years' experience with facilities acquisition, bids and proposals, and construction Company Overview
