Product Manager, CapitalOS
Mariana Minerals
Location: San Francisco, CA
Pay Range $125,000.00/yr - $190,000.00/yr
About Mariana Minerals Mariana Minerals is a software‑first, vertically integrated minerals company on a mission to supply critical minerals powering modern energy, AI, and defense technologies.
We’re reimagining how minerals are sourced, refined, and optimized by combining deep industrial expertise with software, automation, and data‑driven decision‑making. Join us as we build the future of responsible mineral sourcing and supply.
Role Overview We're looking for a Product Manager to own CapitalOS: the platform that enables Mariana to build minerals infrastructure faster and more efficiently than anyone else in the industry.
This role is for someone who understands the chaos of large capital projects: the handoff failures between engineering and procurement, the information silos between office and field, and the death‑by‑spreadsheet that slows decision‑making. You'll work with finance teams, project managers, engineers, and construction leads to build software that actually gets used and fundamentally changes how projects are delivered.
You'll need to be a strong communicator who can build trust with stakeholders across very different disciplines, navigate ambiguity, prioritize ruthlessly, and ship software that works in high‑stakes, fast‑moving environments.
What You’ll Do
Own the CapitalOS roadmap: Define what we build, in what order, based on user needs and business impact.
Stakeholder management: Build deep relationships with finance, project management, engineering, procurement, and construction teams—understand their workflows, pain points, and needs.
Cross‑functional delivery: Partner with software engineers, ML engineers, and domain experts to ship solutions that work in the field.
User research: Spend time with project teams (in SF and on‑site) to understand how work actually happens—not just how it’s supposed to happen.
LLM integration: Help define how we bring AI/ML capabilities into capital project workflows in ways that are useful, not gimmicky.
Process improvement: Identify opportunities to eliminate waste, reduce handoffs, and accelerate decision‑making through software.
What We’re Looking For Must Have
4–7 years in product management, with experience in enterprise software.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills: you can build credibility with finance, engineering, and field teams.
Experience working on workflow tools, project management software, or enterprise platforms.
Demonstrated ability to ship products in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments.
Comfort with ambiguity and fast‑moving priorities.
Willingness to travel to project sites to understand how your product gets used.
Nice to Have
Background in chemical engineering, civil engineering, construction management, or project controls.
Experience with capital project delivery, EPC, or construction software.
Familiarity with LLMs/AI and how they can augment knowledge work.
Experience in mining, energy, infrastructure, or heavy industry.
Why This Role Large capital projects are one of the last frontiers of digital transformation. The tools that manage billion‑dollar construction efforts are often decades old; spreadsheets, disconnected databases, and tribal knowledge.
At Mariana, you’ll build the software that changes this. You’ll see your work used on real project sites, by real teams, delivering real infrastructure. If you’ve been looking for a PM role where the stakes are high and the impact is tangible, this is it.
