Position: Medication Nurse, LVN / LPN
Pay: $33.00–$35.00 per hour
Location: Ivy Park at San Tomas, Irvine, CA

Responsibilities
Perform nursing duties consistent with the Nurse Practice Act, including medication administration and treatments as ordered by a physician.
Administer injections, suppositories, enemas, wound‑care medications and other items typically handled by a Medication Technician.
Carry out duties assigned to a Wellness Nurse.
Coordinate medication services among residents, pharmacies, and physicians.
Order and track medication changes, refills, and deliveries.
Prepare medication for distribution per company policy.
Assist residents with medication administration.
Verify ingestion and document refusal, notifying a supervisor.
Maintain confidential, accurate medication and care records.
Keep medication rooms and carts orderly, stocked, and secure.
Ensure medication rooms/carts are locked when not in use.
Monitor psychotropic medication use per physician orders.
Complete narcotic counts at shift start and end, reporting discrepancies.
Communicate with physicians, family, and vendors as needed.
Use and interpret common medical abbreviations and symbols.
Qualifications
Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid California license in good standing.
Preferred: 1 year of experience with medications in a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE).
Understanding of assisted‑living and dementia‑care principles.
Ability to work compassionately with seniors, including those with cognitive impairments.
Adaptable, decisive, and able to prioritize tasks in high‑pressure situations.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Mathematical competency for calculations.
Pass Criminal Background Check, Health Screening (physical & TB), and COVID‑19 safety protocols.
