Role Description This is a full‑time 60k-80k on‑site role located in Newton, MA, for the position of Assistant Director at Mathnasium. The Assistant Director will assist with center operations, manage staff schedules and activities, and provide leadership for day‑to‑day tutoring sessions. Responsibilities include overseeing student learning plans, communicating with parents, ensuring high‑quality teaching standards, and supporting business performance metrics. The Assistant Director will also help foster a positive, education‑focused environment while ensuring adherence to the Mathnasium method.
Qualifications
Experience in teaching, tutoring, or working in an educational environment
Strong leadership, organizational, and management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Knowledge of mathematics with proficiency in topics from basic math to advanced calculus
Problem‑solving skills and the ability to adapt lesson plans to individual needs
Proficiency in using instructional tools and technology
A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
Prior experience managing a team is a plus
Seniority Level Mid‑Senior level
