Job Summary and Qualifications The Director, Labor Relations assists management at the facility, market and division levels in achieving organizational goals by acting as a reliable and trusted consultant on a wide range of labor relations matters such as collective bargaining, interpretation and administration of collective bargaining agreements, compliance with labor laws and union avoidance. This role will operate fully on‑site and must reside in the market.

Major Responsibilities

Advise about and manage routine labor relations matters such as the interpretation and application of collective bargaining agreements; processing of formal grievances and arbitration of such grievances; communications with labor unions relating to disputes and questions that arise between unions and management; responses to union information requests; discipline of bargaining unit members; and compliance with applicable labor laws.

Advise on response to union organizing.

Prepare and conduct collective bargaining.

Prepare and respond to strikes, picketing and other job actions by unions.

Prepare and present appropriate training for facility management on a variety of labor relations topics.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree required.

Master's degree in industrial relations, labor relations or similar discipline preferred.

Juris Doctorate (JD) preferred.

7+ years of relevant experience required.
