As a Financial Analyst, you will work for a company that invests in ways to tell stories, view trends, and diagnose results in a more compelling and visual nature. You will have the opportunity to partner with business customers on driving strategic business direction that leads to sustainable performance and you will be asked to challenge our current well-managed processes to be more proactive, effective and efficient. Financial Analysts perform financial data analysis in preparing Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss statements and frequently build reports for higher level associates; provide management and business clients with project statuses; perform reporting and analysis to support presentation and ad-hoc requests. This role will have a specific focus on our Capital Markets businesses (Financing, Derivatives, Advisory, etc). These businesses are essential to the Commercial Bank, as they are a critical driver of non-interest income.

The associate will be directly responsible for forecasting, monitoring and reporting capital markets revenue, headcount, salaries, and various other metrics. This role will allow for opportunities to lean into various projects and step into white space, while also developing meaningful relationships with the business.

Roles

Articulate outcomes of analysis and relevant insights

Develop presentations to communicate business and analysis results to senior audiences

Responsibilities

Financial reporting and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial reporting, and Profit & Loss (P&L) management

Coordinate and collect input data from Financial Analysts in different departments, check data integrity, summarize and convert data, run models, verify, analyze, and communicate output data

Calculate the financial impacts of strategic decisions from business partners

Business presentations: Assist in development of presentations to communicate analysis results to senior audiences, clearly articulate outcomes of analysis to leadership teams

Ad-hoc requests and special projects

Independently manage and prioritize workload

Perform financial data analysis in preparing Profit & Loss or other statements

Frequently create reports for higher level associates

Provide management and business clients with project statuses

Perform reporting and analysis to support presentation and ad-hoc requests

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or military experience

At least 1 year of experience in financial analysis

At least 1 year of experience with financial modeling

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Master’s Degree in Finance

Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license

3+ years’ experience in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office

2+ years’ experience in financial analysis

2+ years’ experience with financial modeling

1+ year of experience partnering with internal stakeholders

1+ year of experience in SQL

Compensation McLean, VA: $94,600 - $107,900 for Sr. Financial Analyst

New York, NY: $103,200 - $117,800 for Sr. Financial Analyst

Richmond, VA: $86,000 - $98,200 for Sr. Financial Analyst

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
