Job Purpose Reporting to the VP, Tax, the Senior Tax Manager will work with the existing tax team on tax forecasting and compliance matters for Longroad Energy and its affiliates. The role is primarily responsible for federal and state quarterly income tax projections and annual filings for U.S. partnerships. This is a hybrid role – 2‑3 days per week in our Boston office.
Responsibilities
Maintain the income tax compliance calendar for statutory and stakeholder deadlines.
Oversee outside tax accounting firms in preparing U.S. federal and state income tax returns and quarterly partnership capital account projections.
Provide necessary information (trial balances, adjustments, etc.) to outside tax accounting firms.
Review deliverables prepared by the firms.
Ensure proper documentation is prepared and maintained.
Guarantee timely filing of all tax returns, estimates, and extensions.
Ensure stakeholders receive all required tax deliverables on time.
Assist in developing and maintaining proper policies and procedures for the tax department.
Minimum Qualifications
Seven years of tax compliance experience with U.S. operating partnerships.
Five years recent experience with a large public accounting firm.
Strong analytical, communication, time‑management, and organizational skills.
Tax technical skills in GAAP‑to‑tax adjustments, partnership allocations, tax basis balance sheets and fixed/intangible asset depreciation/amortization.
Ability to read and understand audited financial statements and operating‑agreement tax provisions.
Independent management of a tax compliance calendar and outside firms.
Certified Public Accountant and/or Master’s degree in taxation.
Desired/Preferred Qualifications
Tax experience in renewable energy, real estate, or aircraft leasing industries.

Salary/Compensation The salary range is $155,000 – $190,000 per year, plus a corporate bonus. The position includes health, vision, dental, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, paid time off, life and disability insurance.
