Summary of Position Responsible for consistently meeting and exceeding territory sales and performance objectives. Primary targets include hospital accounts, hospital‑affiliated outpatient treatment centers, affiliated practitioners, and specialty office‑based practices, per the territory call plan.

Position Responsibilities

Generate high demand within targeted accounts to achieve all territory sales objectives.

Develop, execute, and monitor territory plans; strategically target key stakeholders within each account and office to expand product usage and customer base.

Advance hospital and specialty customers through the sales continuum, gaining prescriber commitments through effective questioning, active listening, and use of approved marketing and sales materials.

Demonstrate knowledge of promoted product(s), competitive brands, disease state, patient profiles, and treatment pathways.

Succeed in a complex, matrixed selling environment that requires collaboration and cross‑functional discipline with partners such as Territory Partners, Market Access, Medical, Marketing, and Operations colleagues.

Build strong, collaborative partnerships with field‑based colleagues to secure appropriate cross‑functional support for customers and execute pull‑through strategies.

Use data tools and insights to determine strategies and tactics for business decision‑making.

Utilize CRM technology accurately and timely to report activities and account‑level details.

Distribute samples and record sample transactions per Company Policy and PDMA guidelines.

Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, principles, values, and applicable laws.

Manage utilization and distribution of resources, including territory budgets, Speaker Program allocations, and samples.

Complete all required company training, learning modules, and acknowledgements (IC plans, Compliance, etc.).

Complete administrative duties on time, including call reporting, expense reports, and time‑off management in ADP.

Candidate Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of skills and experience.

5+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience, with a minimum of 3 years in hospital/acute care and outpatient settings.

Documented, measurable track record of sales performance, including meeting or exceeding territory goals and achieving national recognition.

Account‑based selling experience with hospitals, wound care centers, or infusion centers within assigned territory.

Experience calling on infectious disease specialists, hospitalists, critical care pulmonologists, and emergency medicine professionals, as well as other specialties impacting physician‑owned infusion centers and wound care.

Experience building advocacy in a hospital (with or without formulary win) for an acute‑care product.

Proven ability to understand, articulate, and present complex scientific information.

Knowledge of formulary approval processes and strategies to drive approvals.

Strong presentation, organization, administrative, and communication skills.

Experience with CRM systems to support territory dynamics.

Strong understanding of product flow through specialty pharmacy, specialty distribution, and buy‑and‑bill channels.

Prior experience promoting newly launched product(s).

Meet all pre‑employment screening requirements, including background investigation, drug testing, vehicle history, and ongoing credentialing.

Safe driving record and valid driver’s license.

Additional Information

Technology: Microsoft Office, Veeva (preferred).

Travel: Average overnight travel up to 30%, variable by time of year and business imperatives.
