Position Overview:
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead a talented team of engineers and designers in the design, analysis, and improvement of complex mechanical systems and service processes. This is a hands‑on leadership role that combines technical expertise with team development and operational oversight. You will manage engineering activities across two sites – Louisville headquarters and a remote location.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team of mechanical engineers and designers.
Oversee engineering projects from concept through completion, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and compliance with industry standards.
Drive collaboration between engineering, field service, fabrication and sales teams to deliver exceptional results.
Implement best practices in design, documentation and project management.
Provide technical guidance on equipment performance, failure analysis and system improvements.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and operations.
Manage and coordinate activities at both sites, including regular travel to ensure alignment and consistency.
Travel to client sites and field operations (estimated 20–30%) to support project execution and customer engagement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
5+ years of mechanical engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and industrial machinery design.
Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks/Inventor, AutoCAD) and familiarity with FEA or other analysis tools.
Excellent leadership, communication and project management skills.
Experience in heavy industrial or field services environments is a plus.
