We are looking for a seasoned and proactive professional to join the Messaging and Collaboration Engineering team in our Chicago office. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing Microsoft 365 services—including Copilot Agents, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform, SMTP Relays, and File Servers—at an advanced level. This role involves close collaboration with all departments, innovative problem‑solving, technical leadership, and driving process improvements. The team uses a Kanban framework and responds swiftly to changing requirements.
This position is a hybrid role, requiring at least four onsite days per week in the Chicago office.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee Microsoft 365 administration, routine maintenance, technical support, and system upgrades.
Manage agents, Power Apps, and Power Automate flows using Agent 365, Copilot Studio, and Power Platform.
Manage Exchange Online email delivery and protection.
Manage Windows File Server, NTFS and Share permissions, and Amazon FSx operations.
Oversee the administration and management of SMTP relay operations. Must have a firm understanding of SMTP traffic flow and logs. Experience with PowerMTA is a plus.
Work with Corporate InfoSec to address security vulnerabilities and enterprise app reviews.
Manage and triage escalated issues as Tier 3 escalation support.
Act as Delivery Lead in the planning, development, and delivery of projects.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to peers.
Utilize ITIL standards to guide change‑management processes and develop comprehensive documentation and knowledge articles within ServiceNow.
Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
Stay knowledgeable with innovative technology and drive adoption of best practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent work experience).
5–10 years of relevant experience using Microsoft 365 in a complex enterprise environment.
5–10 years of experience working with Windows File Server share, DFS, and NTFS permissions.
5–10 years of experience with email protection technologies like Exchange Online.
5–10 years of experience working with Teams and SharePoint Online.
2 years of experience managing Copilot agents, Copilot Studio, and Agent 365. Strong knowledge of Copilot licenses and entitlements is required.
Advanced working knowledge of PowerShell commands, creating and modifying scripts, and connecting to Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Exchange.
Experience employing AI tools such as Copilot for task development, research, and automation.
In‑depth knowledge of Azure Active Directory Enterprise applications and registration.
Strong understanding of SMTP, OAuth, Graph API, DMARC, DKIM, and SPF.
Experience with dynamic distribution lists.
Advanced knowledge of Active Directory and Azure AD Connect.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and Microsoft product licenses.
Experience migrating mailboxes, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint is a plus.
Experience with Microsoft 365 Purview and eDiscovery is a plus.
Experience with Power BI and Power Apps administration is a plus.
Experience with Amazon FSx is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to lead projects and mentor team members.
24/7 availability and participation in an on‑call rotation.

Total Cash Compensation Range $114,100.00 – $193,975.00 USD annually (inclusive of base salary and target incentive).
