Job Title: KidStrong General Manager
Reports to: KidStrong General Managers.
KidStrong General Managers are the leaders of the center – it is the responsibility of the General Manager to foster a culture of learning and development for both coaches and families that attend the center. The General Manager is a talented, welcoming, and engaging leader focused on defining goals and delivering an exceptional experience for the kids, families, and team members. The goal is to develop and train the coaching team, build close relationships with members, and deliver key business results such as sales performance and lower member attrition.
Responsibilities
Center Operations:
Understand the center’s key KPIs and financials to make informed business decisions.
Build and maintain relationships with KidStrong families that align with our core values and provide exceptional customer service.
Oversee center-level initiatives such as maintenance, training, and brand consistency.
Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and maintenance and delegate tasks to the team.
Manage center-level employee issues and documentation.
Manage schedule using appropriate platforms and oversee 4 weekday + 1 weekend shift schedule.
Schedule, promote, and sell KidStrong events to maximize profitability.
Sales:
Maintain lead management and conduct call drives using the center’s CRM.
Delegate sales responsibilities to staff and finalize bookings from online self-sign-ups.
Source and attend local events to increase brand awareness and generate incremental leads.
Leadership:
Foster a coaching culture, assess and document coaches based on the KidStrong Coach DNA profile.
Recruit, screen, interview, onboard, train, and evaluate coaching candidates.
Ensure compliance with company policy, legal paperwork, and training processes.
Lead center-level staff meetings focused on development, productivity, programming, and product.
Communicate professionally via Slack and Email.
Attend weekly leadership meetings.
Coaching:
Coach students with an evolving curriculum focused on Brain, Physical, and Character development for ages 0‑11.
Create positive interactions with students and families.
Communicate the curriculum’s purpose clearly.
Use the KS Coaches App to record attendance, awards, and other data.
Work in a physically intensive environment covering multiple miles and lifting up to 25 lb.
Lead monthly staff meetings focused on culture and performance.
Provide 3‑5 coaching hours per week.
Qualifications
An athletic and/or coaching background with experience coaching kids ages 15 months‑11 years – passion for working with children is non‑negotiable.
Achieve Coach Certification through the HQ Training and Certification team.
Complete required LearnUpon training.
Comfortable speaking to parents/guardians on a variety of topics.
Prior experience as a pediatric OT/PT is a plus.
Previous experience in management is required.
Proficiency with Google, Microsoft, ZenPlanner, LearnUpon, CareerPlug, ADP, FranConnect preferred.
Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques, and body mechanics.
CPR certified.
Sphere of Interaction The General Manager will supervise the AGM, Lead Coach, and coaches. The role involves consistent mentoring, teamwork with center team members, families, and interaction with KidStrong HQ leadership.
Compensation $50,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
About KidStrong KidStrong is a private child development training center focused on brain, physical & character development for ages walking through 11 years old. KidStrong offers a science‑based curriculum that is parent‑focused and taught by professionals.
