Key Job Responsibilities

Own product roadmap and feature priorities for SITC's nine core workflows (Dailies, Editorial, VFX, Sound, Conform, Color, Mastering, QC/Delivery, Remote Production), defining customer experience, vision, tenets, and product strategy across production and post-production domains.

Develop differentiated adoption strategies for International Originals (flexible vendor ecosystems) versus US Global Originals (entrenched creative partnerships), prioritizing deployment based on technical readiness, creative acceptance, and business value.

Understand SITC systems including OCF ingestion pipelines, media asset management, rendering infrastructure, and real-time collaboration—their limitations, scaling factors, and architectural decisions. Define technical requirements for latency-sensitive creative workflows requiring near-instantaneous response (4:4:4 10‑bit color processing, high-resolution playback).

Address high‑bandwidth, low‑latency challenges across regions with varying network infrastructure, determining when to use Project Kuiper satellite bandwidth, regional ingest hubs, or hybrid approaches. Ensure solutions scale to 100+ concurrent productions.

Build strategic relationships with top‑tier post‑production vendors (Company 3, Picture Shop, Fotokem, Pivotal, Harbor, Goldcrest) and creative tool providers (Avid, Adobe, Autodesk, Blackmagic, Colorfront). Partner with Business Development, Legal, and Business Affairs to develop vendor onboarding processes, rate card structures, and technical validation frameworks.

Drive product discussions with senior creative leadership, distilling clear requirements from diverse stakeholders including directors, editors, production companies, post‑production supervisors, and Studios finance. Build consensus across competing priorities and communicate with executives across Studios, Studios Tech, Finance, Legal, and Business Affairs.

Contribute to OP1/OP2 narratives and influence engineering organization roadmaps. Write PR/FAQs and perform market research with directors, editors, and post‑production supervisors to validate solutions.

Develop product plans with clear success criteria including workflow adoption rates by region, production satisfaction (NPS), platform reliability (uptime, MTTR), and workflow cycle time reductions. Define showstoppers related to creative quality and ensure urgent bug triage.

Actively recruit, mentor, and develop others in technical product management, media production workflows, and stakeholder management. Participate in hiring loops and perform PMT assessments.

About the team Studio in the Cloud represents Amazon MGM Studios' comprehensive initiative to modernize entertainment production by moving the entire content creation process to AWS. By ingesting Original Camera Footage directly to the cloud, SITC enables all downstream workflows—from dailies processing through final delivery—to occur securely in the cloud environment. This transformation eliminates dependencies on physical media transport, reduces hardware capital expenditures, enables seamless global collaboration, and provides the elastic compute resources needed for computationally intensive workflows like rendering and color grading.

SITC has demonstrated significant impact on productions across multiple regions and formats. Productions such as LOL Norway accelerated post‑production by two weeks by sending footage directly from set to cloud. Cada Minuto Cuenta reduced dailies processing time by 50 percent—from six hours per day on‑premises to three hours in the cloud. Pimpinero successfully shifted post‑production from Bogotá to Los Angeles after an unexpected travel restriction while maintaining schedules and tax incentives. Ministry of Love became the first Amazon MGM Studios production to complete cloud‑based color grading entirely in SITC, establishing configuration standards for future shows. These examples demonstrate how SITC removes friction, improves security and data handling, and supports global collaboration without compromising creative quality.

The initiative also aligns with broader Studios goals including consistent Tier 1 security standards, significantly lower carbon emissions compared to traditional production approaches, and more equitable access to production infrastructure across international regions. SITC establishes the foundation for future innovations including animation workflow optimization and AI‑powered creative tools, while maintaining the creative‑first approach that differentiates Amazon's solution from competitors.
