Logos Space
Logos Space is a Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite system purpose-built to serve the connectivity needs of the commercial enterprise users and government users. We will help fill an important gap in the market, providing resilient, high-performance satellite-based connectivity services to enterprise and government customers worldwide. Business customers have contracts with agreed-upon performance standards for their broadband, and Logos will build these capabilities into the system from the beginning. Speed and reliability are the foundation of the system. Logos is designed to extend cloud and data center network connectivity anywhere in the world to fixed, seaborne, and airborne terminals.
Logos is led by a team of highly experienced engineers with proven track records in the networking and satellite industries.
Position Summary & Responsibilities We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Test Engineering Lead to spearhead the development, deployment, and management of all production test systems for our Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite payload and ground terminal systems. This is a critical leadership role within our Operations team, focusing on ensuring the quality, reliability, and manufacturability of our cutting‑edge space and terrestrial hardware. The systems under test include complex power, network, Radio Frequency (RF), baseband systems, and advanced phased array antennas. The Lead will be responsible for partnering closely with internal Hardware (HW) and Software (SW) engineering teams, as well as external Contract Manufacturers (CMs), to define, implement, and maintain robust production test methodologies, equipment, calibration procedures, production limits, and yield targets.
You should be prepared to work and thrive in a fast moving environment where you are comfortable taking vague requirements and direction and executing on the Logos product mission. We are seeking people who love to solve hard problems, have a bias for action and extreme task ownership.
Responsibilities
Lead the definition and documentation of comprehensive production test requirements, procedures, and specifications for all satellite payload modules and ground terminal systems.
Collaborate with HW and SW design teams to ensure Design for Test (DFT) principles are integrated into the product architecture from the earliest stages of development.
Manage the selection, procurement, deployment, and validation of all necessary production test equipment (ATE, custom fixtures, RF test sets, etc.) across internal and CM facilities.
Develop, deploy, and maintain robust test software (drivers, sequences, reporting tools) in collaboration with SW teams to automate test execution and data collection.
Establish rigorous calibration and maintenance schedules for all production test equipment to ensure measurement accuracy and repeatability.
Define and manage production test limits, guard banding strategies, and yield targets, driving continuous improvement activities to optimize test efficiency and reduce Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).
Analyze test data and production yields to identify root causes of failures, drive corrective actions with engineering teams, and implement process improvements.
Serve as the primary technical point of contact for production test issues, supporting Contract Manufacturers and internal resources.
Develop and implement training programs for manufacturing personnel on test procedures and equipment operation.
Lead efforts to scale production test infrastructure globally as production volume increases.
Basic Qualifications
U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled data.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline with equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Operations within a high-volume, complex hardware production environment.
5+ years of experience in hardware production test engineering or manufacturing test engineering, with 2+ years in a technical leadership or supervisory role.
Proven experience developing test systems for complex electronic hardware involving RF, digital/baseband, and power systems.
Hands‑on experience with standard RF test equipment (Spectrum Analyzers, Vector Network Analyzers, Signal Generators, Power Meters).
Proficiency in test automation scripting/programming languages (e.g., Python, C#, LabVIEW).
Experience partnering directly with Contract Manufacturers (CMs) for high-volume production test deployment and management.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Experience with production tests for space systems, satellite payloads, or aerospace hardware.
Direct experience testing phased array antennas, beamforming systems, or complex communications links.
Familiarity with industry standards for quality control and reliability testing (e.g., ISO, AS9100).
Demonstrated ability to drive substantial improvements in production test yield, throughput, and efficiency.
Strong understanding of statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis techniques used in manufacturing environments.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both engineering and executive audiences.
Logos Space Services is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering creativity, curiosity and diverse perspectives among employees. We seek to create an environment where everyone can reach their full potential and drive outstanding results. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability, sexual orientation, marital status, veteran status, gender identity or expression, or any other basis protected by local, state, or federal law. This policy applies with regard to all aspects of one's employment, including hiring, transfer, promotion, compensation, eligibility for benefits, and termination. Offers will be contingent on the candidate's ability to access export‑controlled information under U.S. law.
