Oracle Finance Techno-Functional Consultant

Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Oracle Finance Techno-Functional Consultant to support and enhance Oracle Fusion Financials. This role requires deep functional expertise across Oracle Finance modules, strong techno‑functional capabilities, and advanced experience with Oracle reporting tools.
While the standard job description mentions “some experience with reporting tools,” this engagement requires strong, hands‑on expertise in Oracle Fusion reporting, including:

BI Publisher
The consultant should also bring strategic insight into when and how to optimize report delivery within Oracle versus when it is appropriate to move data to external platforms, such as Snowflake, the primary enterprise data warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the translation of business requirements into effective Oracle Fusion Finance configurations.
Drive end‑to‑end implementation activities including requirements gathering, gap analysis, design, configuration, testing (SIT/UAT), deployment, and post‑go‑live support.
Act as a subject matter expert across Oracle Fusion Financial modules.
Collaborate with cross‑functional business and technical teams to resolve complex issues and ensure business continuity.
Provide leadership in reporting strategy, performance optimization, and data consumption.
Define and maintain best practices, standards, and documentation.
Coordinate with vendors and partners to ensure timely issue resolution.
Mentor and guide team members, fostering continuous learning and professional growth.
Required Qualifications Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field
Experience & Skills
10+ years of consulting experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud – Financials
Strong hands‑on experience across the following modules:
General Ledger (GL)
Intercompany (IC)
Cash Management (CM)
Procurement (Self‑Service Procurement & Purchasing)
Fixed Assets (FA)
Project Accounting (PA)
Tax Engine (TAX)
Inventory (Shared) – PO Receiving
Business requirements gathering and gap analysis
Functional design and solution demos
SIT and UAT execution
System configuration and support
Advanced experience with Oracle Fusion reporting tools, including:
OTBI
BI Publisher
Strong understanding of reporting performance optimization and delivery strategies
Experience determining when to integrate Oracle data with external data platforms (e.g., Snowflake)
Knowledge of Oracle Fusion data migration methodologies
Solid understanding of end‑to‑end finance business processes
Experience with Oracle Fusion configuration and customization tools
Exposure to OCI and OIC is a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Personal attributes
Able to communicate professionally and effectively with technical and non‑technical staff and with members of interdisciplinary teams.
Flexible and adaptable regarding learning and understanding new technologies.
Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to conduct research into software‑related issues and products.
