Group Sales Manager
We are looking for an energetic addition to our growing sales team in a Group Sales Manager role. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years previous experience as a Sales Manager, preferably with a luxury property. Responsibilities include but are not limited to proactively seeking and securing new accounts, sending proposals and sales contracts, conducting rate negotiations, conducting familiarization trips and hotel site inspections. This position also requires a prioritization in achieving and exceeding monthly sales goals. In addition, they must have excellent communication skills, computer skills, and organizational skills with a particular attention to detail. This position is full-time only and requires a flexible schedule.
Specific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability
:Have a minimum of 2 years previous experience as a Sales Manager, preferably in a luxury propert
yAbility to effectively communicate with customers in a friendly and positive manner, in order to solicit business, meet clients needs and resolve complaints
.Ability to move throughout the hotel to conduct site inspections
.Ability to listen, speak and write English to ascertain and respond to client needs
.Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
.Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment
.Follow directions thoroughly. Work with minimal supervisio
nUnderstand guest service needs. Prioritize, organize and follow-up on all actions
.Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team
.Maintain confidentiality of guest and client information and pertinent hotel data
.Must be able to meet the responsibilities of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
.Excellent written and oral communication skills
.Must have proven selling, negotiating and presentation skills
.Requires knowledge of advanced sales technique
