Job Description:

Manages technical and administrative operations in a clinical specialty, ensuring equipment and technology are configured, maintained, and operating to standards. Deploys new technology, implements changes to equipment management workflows and operational processes to meet codes and regulations.

Responsibilities Includes managing a team of technicians, coordinating new technology deployments, ensuring compliance with medical safety regulations, maintaining equipment performance, supervising staff, resolving personnel issues, managing multiple priorities, improving clinical workflows, and maintaining professional relationships across departments.

Minimum Qualifications

Eleven (11) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor’s degree in a related area plus seven (7) years of related experience/training. Experience managing technicians in a hospital setting.

Knowledge and applied background in biomedical equipment management, clinical engineering techniques, server / network monitoring, and security. Demonstrated ability to improve clinical workflows and medical device interactions in an acute care setting.

Broad knowledge of medical center, HR and UC policies and processes. Knowledge of relevant biomedical equipment safety regulations and performance standards.

Advanced user of internal clinical engineering technology and systems. Knowledge of available IT software for clinical specialty area.

Leadership skills in employee supervision and HR administration. Conflict resolution and counseling.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to change in a complex environment.

Organize division operations efficiently, improving workflows and equipment management processes.

Collaborate across departments to integrate clinical engineering activities and resolve problems.

Analytical and problem‑solving skills, sound judgment.

Verbal and written communication skills, active listening, persuasion, advice, and counsel.

Preferred Qualifications

CBET certification.

Certification in Clinical Engineering specialty.

Special Conditions

Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $119,400 - $230,800. (Salary prorated if appointment percentage

Hourly Equivalent: $57.18 - $110.54.
