Job Summary The Senior Analytical Scientist is responsible for extracting and analyzing samples according to established procedures and SOPs, acting as a key resource within the laboratory.
Responsibilities
Perform all activities related to processing and analyzing biological samples.
Participate in developing and validating bioanalytical methods.
Document activities related to sample analysis and assist in verifying various documents; assist in reviewing bioanalytical and method SOPs.
Initiate analysis runs using the appropriate instruments and software.
Follow up on result analysis and assist in finding solutions to bioanalytical issues.
Assist with the integration and revision of data using specialized computer applications.
Assist in eliminating chemical and biological wastes generated by laboratory employees and help clean laboratory equipment and instruments.
Participate in the training of new employees.
Assist the Supervisor Bioanalysis in managing bioanalytical projects; participate in process improvement initiatives for the laboratory.
Act as a resource person for the team to ensure smooth conduct of bioanalytical activities.
Perform support tasks to meet the needs of laboratory users.
Ensure activities comply with applicable corporate and divisional policies, SOPs, and guidelines, and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or College Degree in Science.
Good understanding of bioanalytical processes used in the laboratory.
Demonstrated computer skills, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, and analytical software.
Knowledge of chromatography software and experience in a regulatory context.
English proficiency (Quebec specific); bilingualism including understanding simple messages and following basic instructions.
Consideration under different criteria for those lacking required training or experience.
Relative alternate certification may be acceptable.
Benefits and Compensation Salary Range: $56,400.00 - $95,900.00
