Overview As the General Manager at Dye's Walk Country Club, you will be responsible for overseeing all daily operations, ensuring exceptional member experiences, and maintaining high standards in hospitality, financial performance, facilities and staff management. You will directly oversee all club processes, including golf operations, course maintenance, food and beverage services, member services, sales and marketing, accounting, and human resources. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in strategic planning and member recruitment and retention. This role requires a hands‑on leader who can balance our rich tradition with innovative thinking.

Experience Required

Proven experience as a General Manager, Club Manager, or management experience leading department heads.

Strategic thinker with calm, decisive leadership.

Team‑builder who motivates, develops, and drives performance.

Polished social presence and professional in appearance and demeanor.

Ability to work varying hours.

Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Strong business acumen and financial management skills.

Thorough understanding of club management and proficiency with management software and point‑of‑sale systems.

Essential Responsibilities

Lead the implementation of policies established by the board of directors; directs their administration and execution that align with the club's mission.

Hire, train, mentor, conduct performance management/evaluations, and develop coaching plans to ensure efficient and effective organizational plans.

Plan, develop and approve specific operational policies, programs, procedures and methods in concert with general policies.

Create and implement a GM Business Plan to address priorities and membership needs.

Represent a consistent "membership first" approach to business activities and relationships while developing and demonstrating outstanding planning, communication, organizational and leadership skills with all staff, including board members.

Provides advice and recommendations to the President and committees about construction, alterations, maintenance, materials, supplies, equipment and services not provided in approved plans and/or budgets.

Consistently ensure that the club is operated in accordance with all applicable local, state and federal laws.

Analyzes financial statements, manages cash flow and establishes controls to safeguard funds. Reviews income and costs relative to goals; takes corrective action as necessary.

Work closely with Golf Professional and Superintendent to ensure excellent course conditions and tournament programming.

Handles emergencies such as fires, accidents and breaches of security or house rules promptly and in person. Emphasize prevention through training, inspection and preventive enforcement.

Gives direction to and works closely with vendors, outside contractors, firms and individuals providing services to the club.

Supports the planning and execution of special events, tournaments, weddings, and banquets.

Responsible for recruitment, sales, and retention of club membership.
