Amazon is seeking a talented and motivated Electromechanical Engineer to test the performance of our robotic End‑Effectors. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in test design, setup, execution and data analysis. This candidate must have the ability to work well both independently and in a multidisciplinary team setting.
Key Job Responsibilities
Author functional requirements, design verification plans and test procedures
Execute test system designs which meet the requirements
Build and test electromechanical subsystem prototypes and integrated systems
Work efficiently to support rapid schedules
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field
Experience in data analysis and reporting
Experience troubleshooting issues and root cause analysis
Experience working in an Agile environment
10+ years of experience designing, implementing, executing and analyzing tests
Experience characterizing force, torque, speed, current, temperature, EMI, etc
Experience evaluating durability, signal integrity, reliability
Experience designing and building test fixtures and data collection solutions
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field
Experience with the project management of technical projects
Experience characterizing grasp quality and dexterous manipulation
Ability to support domestic and international travel as required by the program
Demonstrated experience collaborating with Mechanical, Electrical and Controls engineers
Proficiency with Product Lifecycle Management PLM software and ECO’s

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $128,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $213,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
